To put it simply, this gun has been optimized for stealth.

The M4 type body has a desert camouflage paint job and there are weights installed to give the gun a decent heft and feel. The stock is a sliding tube type with multiple positions so the user can set it to whatever position is most comfortable without sacrificing stability or durability.

The magazine that is included with the gun holds 68 pellets, which is slightly more than many standard magazines. While this isn’t too many for a full-auto player, it is a decent amount for someone who tends to rely more on stealth and sniping to get their hits, which is really, as already mentioned, what this gun was made for.

The spring is set for 1 joule of force, and this setup gives a very consistent muzzle velocity between 295 and 300 feet per second. The Seirrin is also consistent with its accuracy, and when this is combined with its built-in sights (which work quite well) the gun is easy to aim accurately. It would also be easy to add a scope to increase accuracy at longer ranges. The adjustable hop-up allows for the use of heavier pellets-which tend to deviate less over distance than lighter ones--with less loss of overall range.

The most interesting features of this gun, however, are the ones that make it so comparatively quiet. The piston head has been optimized to produce far less noise than usual. The motor still makes its sound, but the thup of the piston propelling air from the chamber is a lot quieter than with standard AEGs. On top of this, the gun comes with a removable silencer which makes it even more quiet without degrading performance. When fired with the silencer mounted, the gun is noticeably more silent, and there is no significant loss of accuracy or muzzle velocity.

The Seirrin has a good rate of fire on full-auto, but it really shines when used on semi-auto. The trigger has been set up with a lighter, shorter pull to allow for faster shooting while in semi-auto mode. This also means that the shooter will have less tendency to pull the gun off target with each trigger pull, which can make a difference when shooting at longer ranges.

All this adds up to a gun that is really meant for sneaky players. Its great for anyone who likes to sneak their way into position and hit their targets with single, accurately places bbs. While this gun may lack some of the really long range shooting ability of the big sniper rifles, like the PSG1, its smaller size gives the user much more mobility. It does also have a decent punch, which gives a good range, and the ability to switch to full-auto in a pinch can let the user get out of tight spots that someone using a semi only rifle would need an additional gun to deal with.

Basically, the Seirrin is an M4 style AEG optimized for stealth and sniping that doesn’t sacrifice its ability to lay down a hail of pellets when needed.
