Weight: 797g
Power Source: 134A gas
Muzzle Velocity: 225-230fps (134A)

Magazine Capacity: 25+1 6mmBB
Overview:
A new pistol released by Tokyo Marui on the 14th of April. The Sig P226 is
patterned after a very popular handgun and widely used by the US Navy Seals and
many law enforcement agencies.
Construction is mostly of an ABS type plastic, including the frame, slide,
and outer barrel. The detachable magazine has a capacity of 25 rounds. The
Hop-up is adjustable, and accessed by removing the slide. It is the same hop
unit found on the High Capa and Socom Mk23 pistols also made by Marui. Powered
by 134A Gas, magazine gas efficiency seems on par with all Marui guns, at about
2 full BB loads before requiring a recharge. The magazine is about the size of
the Glock 26 Advance series. Filling is the same with an exposed fill valve
located on the bottom of the magazine. The P226 is a double-action pistol, with
a working De-cocking Mechanism. Pushing the decocking switch, located on the
left side of the gun will release the hammer without activating the gas valve on
the magazine. There is also a bottom rail unit for attaching an accessory, such
as a tactical light unit or a laser.
Capabilities:
With the use of 134A gas, a velocity of 230 fps is to be expected. It may be
possible to use green gas, but this should probably be avoided for fear of
long-term damage. Firing is smooth from both a double action (hammer down) and a
single action standpoint. Blowback is crisp and fast. Rapid firing is smooth,
and while not as fast as a 5.1 Hi Capa, it is faster than most other Marui GBB’s.
Accuracy (on 134) is very good, with the help of a rather flat fire trajectory
from the hop-up unit. While not having the knock down power of some other guns
on the same gas, it does seem to have a natural accuracy about it. Snap shooting
is fast and easy.

Upgrades:
Although this pistol has just been released, there is at least one aftermarket
accessory made for it. A new 6.01 inner diameter barrel, manufactured by PDI is
now available. A power increase and better accuracy are to be expected from this
product. Testing has already begun on this barrel by Impact Games and will be
reported on at a later time. You can find both the Sig P226 and the new PDI
barrel in limited quantities at Impact Games.
