Are you getting ready for the 2005 ASH BASH Cosplay contest? Time is running out. Get inspired by checking out anime, manga, movies, and video games. Recreate those very same characters that you have come to enjoy. Pretty much anything goes.
The winner will be chosen by the staff of ARMS Magazine and will receive an awesome prize. For those of you unfamiliar with cosplay, it is a Japanese term for costume play. It is very similar to Masquerade. In Japan, cosplay fans will dress up and recreate characters from science fiction to fantasy, from medieval to military. It’s a time for enthusiastic fans to dress up in their favorite garb or as their favorite character and have a lot of fun.

Last month we looked at some fantasy and anime costumes. This month we look at some historical costumes.

We encourage all of you to participate in the cosplay contest.

Here are the parameters:
1. Costume must be original and unique.
2. Science fiction, fantasy, historical, and self invented costumes are all legal.
3. For historical re-enactors anything from the Vietnam War period back to the stone age is legal.
4. Although we encourage it, contest participants are not required to play in costume. If you do plan on playing in costume, be sure that your costume meets the Airsoft Hawaii safety requirements.
5. The winner will be chosen by the staff of ARMS Magazine, and will receive a great prize.

Stay tuned for more costuming pictures and always check the ASH BASH site for additional rules and regulations.
