Here in Hawaii, we have two great but relatively unknown websites that host
forums for local players to discuss the latest happenings. Both are run by
enthusiastic high school students.
HawaiiAirsoft.net was launched on September 14, 2003 by 16 year old Brandon
Nagata . He wanted to start a website for newbies and veterans alike and to
“bring the Hawaii airsoft community closer, since Hawaii lacked a common area
where everyone could find out about local stuff.” Brandon appreciates that
players can “find all the information on public games in Hawaii in one spot
versus having to go to other sites and having to decide which to attend.” Check
out his site at www.hawaiiairsoft.net.

Airsoft Players of Hawaii started off as a high school project. It was
designed for Hi-tech Quest, a state-wide computer technology contest. The group
saw the need for a centralized website that contained all of the information
representing the Hawaii airsoft community and launched its site in March 2004.
APOH is run by 5 Kailua High School students, and is headed up by Brian Kuriyama.
At APOH you can read about news from all of the local playing fields, as well as
get up to date information on the local airsoft shops. APOH will be celebrating
their one year anniversary by holding a game at the ASH field. Everyone is
invited! Please check the website for more details
