Welcome to the March issue of Ballistics! This time it’s all about the ASH BASH! What is the ASH BASH? It is a festive, action packed day and this year it celebrates Airsoft Hawaii’s 18th birthday!

The ASH BASH has become one of the largest events held in the United States, and it will be held on July 16, 2005. Just to recap for those of you who missed out on last years event, the 2004 ASH BASH had 327 players, and we gave away over $7500.00 in prizes! Event coverage can be found in the October and November 2004 issues of the leading airsoft magazine ARMS. This year we plan on bringing you a fun filled day with lots of action-packed games. There will also be vendors on hand selling merchandise and some of our sponsors will have booths for you to stop by and check out their latest offerings. For all of you who like to dress up, we will be adding in a new COSPLAY contest. Everyone loves prizes right? Well, we will be raffling off thousands of dollars in prizes all day long!

The 2005 ASH BASH will be held at the beautiful Kualoa Ranch located on Oahu’s Windward coast. If you are traveling here from outside of Hawaii, the 4000 acre ranch and outdoor recreational operation is a popular tourist destination. It is nestled in front of a large mountain range, the highest peak of which reaches1900 feet. The ranch has a variety of outdoor activities and has been the backdrop for numerous films such as Tears of the Sun, Jurassic Park, Pearl Harbor, and Windtalkers. The portion of the ranch that the 2005 ASH BASH will be held on is a low-land mesic forest. There will be lots of trees and brush to maneuver behind and trails to charge along.

Registration begins on March 15th, and pre-sale tickets are only $35.00. On Oahu, players can register at Impact Games, Power Edge, and E-Power Sports. For those of you flying in from outside of Hawaii, we will have a form available for download.
